Business Support Associate

POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Support Associate supports day-to-day administrative, human resources and accounting functions. They will assist Human Resources with record-keeping, benefit administration and payroll. They will assist Accounting with accounts payable and deposits. This position requires accurate and timely processing of information and data entry. ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger-relief network that brings together community resources to share tens of millions of pounds of food with neighbors each year. Our highly collaborative team believes that empowerment, education and partnerships are key to getting food into the hands of those who need it most. With the help of 145 partner agencies, more than 185 school partners and thousands of volunteers, our day-to-day efforts help feed nearly 100,000 neighbors each month across our 32-county area. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Bookkeeping experience, preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Ability to complete deposits and accounts payable with accuracy and attention to detail Honesty and integrity Ability to relate effectively with other staff, volunteers, neighbors, The Food Bank partners and the general public Proven excellence in organizational and planning skills, problem analysis and problem-solving skills Be sensitive to the needs of neighbors with a commitment to fighting hunger DUTIES: Manage special projects Assist in benefit enrollment and administration Backup for payroll administration New employee orientation scheduling Assist in employee handbook understanding/guidance Learning Management System Administration Serve as a member of the Employee Council Assist in verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining documentation Assist with maintaining driver records Work with Volunteer Database Backup for benefit invoice reconciliation Programmatic support/data entry Process deposits and accounts payable ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Shift 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday Front Desk & Reception Coverage Answer a multi-line phone; Direct callers to resources Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to filing, photocopying, scanning and mailing Maintain and update human resources documents and forms Accurately record daily deposits, purchase orders and invoices Maintain confidentiality Exercise good judgment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced computer skills Pay Range: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri
