As a remote position within a community health clinic setting, this role allows LPCs the flexibility to create a comfortable and effective therapeutic space for diverse populations. Our outpatient counseling center serves clients with various mental health needs, and counselors have the autonomy to coordinate their schedules to best support their clients' appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions through individual, couples, family, and group counseling sessions, employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to ensure our clients receive holistic, well-rounded care.

• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring all records are current and accurate.

• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about current research and treatment methodologies in the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role involves working with a diverse array of clients, including individuals battling mental illness, substance abuse, trauma, and families seeking relational support. As an LPC at Peaceful Path, you will directly contribute to improving your clients' overall quality of life and emotional health, often witnessing transformative change resulting from your therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Must hold an active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing counseling services, preferably within a clinical or outpatient setting.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from various backgrounds.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant technological tools.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in areas such as trauma therapy, substance abuse counseling, family therapy, or couples counseling is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and caseload.
