Job Title Dishroom Clerk Department Market Grille Functions Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service while ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile and addressing them by name when possible. Answer the telephone promptly and take customer orders following established procedures. Work cooperatively with coworkers to maintain a pleasant work environment and high customer satisfaction. Transport department garbage to the compactor or designated area. Adhere to personal hygiene and dress guidelines. Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and related items. Handle food safely and maintain a clean, organized work area. Remove trash promptly. Follow all company policies and store guidelines. Report to work on time. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Assist in other store areas as needed. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Follow written or verbal instructions accurately. Perform simple addition, subtraction, and basic math functions. Understand and execute verbal or demonstrated instructions, including writing identifying information and requesting supplies. Education and Experience No formal education requirement. Up to six months of similar or related work experience is acceptable. Physical Requirements Perform medium work: exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Meet visual requirements, including vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision. Perform activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Working Conditions Exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals or solvents, temperature extremes, and potential electrical shock. Equipment Used Standard kitchen tools and equipment, including disposal, trash compactor, industrial dishwasher, mop, broom, and box cutter. Contacts Daily contact with the general public and customers. Contact with federal, state, or regulatory agencies during inspections.
