Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching certification
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in a life skills classroom or similar setting
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices for differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for fostering growth and independence in students with diverse needs

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ life skills and academic goals
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to maximize growth and participation
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student success
• Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment that builds both academic abilities and daily living skills
• Maintain accurate records, document progress, and comply with all district and regulatory requirements
