Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (credential required by WA state)
• Prior experience teaching students in a Life Skills or similar special education classroom
• Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction and curriculum to a variety of learning styles and needs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in meeting educational goals for diverse learners
• Current background check and required clearances for school employment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction to elementary students in the Life Skills program
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s developmental and educational requirements
• Track and document student progress, modifying strategies and supports as needed
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and support staff
• Foster a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment
• Engage regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
