Role Description The Veterinary Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Clinton, MD. This role involves assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures, including preparing patients, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records. Daily responsibilities include providing routine animal care, administering medications and vaccines as directed, collecting and processing laboratory samples, and ensuring clean, safe, and well-organized treatment areas. The Veterinary Technician will also support client education by explaining home care instructions, preventive health recommendations, and treatment plans in a clear and respectful manner. Collaboration with the veterinary team, effective communication with clients, and adherence to hospital protocols are central to this position. Qualifications Strong skills in Animal Care and Pet Care, with a commitment to humane handling and patient comfort. Foundational knowledge of Veterinary Technology, including basic laboratory procedures, radiology, and medical recordkeeping. Competence in Anesthesiology support, such as patient preparation, monitoring under supervision, and post-operative care. Ability to provide clear, empathetic Client Education regarding preventive care, treatment plans, and post-visit instructions. Completion of a veterinary technology program or equivalent experience; credentialing (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred where applicable. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting is highly beneficial. Effective verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
