Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity impacting students across a range of grade levels in a vibrant North Carolina community. This role offers an engaging blend of Extended School Year (ESY) and full-time responsibilities enabling you to work closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams. From July through the academic year, youll deliver high-quality physical therapy services to a dynamic caseload of roughly 50 students supported by a PT/PTA team. The workday runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, averaging 35 hours each week, giving you consistent and predictable hours.

Your time will be spent traveling between multiple schools (clustered as conveniently as possible), allowing you to make a meaningful difference in various settings. Approved mileage for travel between schools is provided. This position especially values candidates with early-intervention experience and those who are certified in TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) for PreK evaluations; however, passionate PTs without this certification are encouraged to apply. Please note, fingerprinting is required for professionals working with Pre-K students.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
• Experience in school-based physical therapy preferred
• Early-intervention and/or PreK TPBA certification highly regarded, but not required
• Must complete finger-printing for Pre-K student interaction
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Flexibility to travel between nearby school campuses

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Conduct PreK evaluations, if qualified
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
