Process Engineer

We're seeking a Process Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys solving complex problems, driving continuous improvement, and bringing new technologies online.In this role, you'll provide engineering support for our profile production line and oversee the SPC regrind process stream. You'll work alongside operations, maintenance, corporate engineering, and R&D teams to improve equipment reliability, drive process optimization, reduce downtime, and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on manufacturing, project leadership, and making meaningful contributions to plant performance.What You'll DoLead troubleshooting efforts and implement solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.Analyze production and quality data to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.Support the startup and commissioning of new equipment and process improvements within the regrind operation.Partner with R&D to coordinate and evaluate product and process trials.Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Corporate Engineering teams to improve asset reliability and operational performance.Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.Develop and manage capital and expense projects related to equipment upgrades and process enhancements.Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.Coach, train, and support production associates while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.Serve as a champion for safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.Mentor and provide project leadership for engineering co-ops and interns.Present project updates and performance metrics to plant and corporate leadership teams.Lead and support special projects that contribute to facility goals and long-term strategic initiatives.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree required; Engineering degree preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Minitab, and other data analysis tools.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently.Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.Preferred QualificationsPrevious Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Project Engineering experience (including co-op or OMT experience).Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.Willingness to complete Six Sigma training if not currently certified.Experience with continuous manufacturing processes, milling operations, or high-volume production environments.Experience supporting equipment startups, process optimization, or capital projects.Key CompetenciesTakes initiative and drives resultsCommunicates effectively across all levels of the organizationInfluences and collaborates with diverse teamsBuilds strong, trusting relationshipsDemonstrates a commitment to safety and continuous improvementWhy Join Us?Opportunity to work on high-impact projects and new equipment installations.Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.Collaborative environment with operations, engineering, R&D, and leadership teams.Career growth opportunities within a stable, industry-leading organization.Ability to make a measurable impact on plant performance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.#ShawIND#LI-CL1Work Shift8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AMShaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.SummaryLocation: Shaw Plant RP, 1015 Industrial Blvd, Ringgold, GA 30736 USAType: Full time
