Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, which include physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
• Assist in the identification and evaluation of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results
• Work hand in hand with surgeons to develop and implement individual surgical treatment plans
• Provide crucial intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and seamlessly passing surgical instruments during procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, which encompasses medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and thorough patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery is highly preferred

Certifications

• A current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
