Control Room Operator

Headquartered in Houston, Oxy primarily operates in the United States, Middle East and North Africa. This position will be located in our Midland, TX. The Control Room Operator will work in the Midland Integrated Operations Center (IOC) to monitor field operations for both Midstream and E&P and work as a team integrating Midstream and E&P Operations. Roles And Responsibilities Monitor electronic information and provide feedback and recommendations for diagnostics as well as predictive data. Provide daily reports comprised of total field operations. Coordinate operations activities and emergency responses as needed. Assist in maintaining daily activity logs, operational information and status reports including safety/environmental incident reporting. Comply with all Company policies and procedures. Under limited supervision, assist in monitoring field operations by responding to alarms or to direct guidance from more experienced personnel. Respond appropriately to most routine problems independently. Uses knowledge of how surveillance applications are represented in field operations and dispatches appropriate resources for problem resolution. Evaluates daily production estimates to identify production shortfalls that may be related to equipment problems, leaks or spills, theft or changing well conditions. Utilizes knowledge of local EHS policies as they pertain to specific operations. Participate in extensive field operations training to improve knowledge of operations and process flows. Qualifications 5 or more years of oil field experience Applies thorough operating knowledge to complete job duties. Works under limited supervision. Participates as a team member and builds on comments of others. Prioritizes routine and non routine tasks assigned by others. Willing to train in the TX Delaware field. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation.
