Summary Description:

The Concrete Form Setter/Finisher is responsible for performing high-quality concrete construction work, including form setting, rebar placement, concrete pouring, and finishing. This role involves working with various form systems to support slab, footing, and structural pours. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to read blueprints and verify elevations and dimensions.

Concrete Form Setter/Finisher Job Responsibilities:

• Set and place concrete forms and form systems for various concrete slabs, footings, and structural elements
• Wreck and remove forms after concrete placement
• Assist with layout, measurements, and final form adjustments to ensure accuracy of dimensions and elevations
• Place and tie reinforcing steel (rebar) in accordance with project specifications
• Pour concrete and assist with concrete placement and vibration
• Finish concrete to specified surface textures and tolerances using hand and power tools
• Ensure quality control of surface finish and final appearance
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and sequencing during pours
• Maintain cleanliness of tools and work areas; assist with safe equipment storage and handling
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety guidelines
• Support other trades and tasks on-site when needed

Qualifications

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• 3+ years of experience in concrete form setting and finishing preferred
• Skilled in using hand and power tools, measuring tapes, lasers, and levels
• Ability to place, tie, and secure rebar in compliance with plans and codes
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, vibration, and finishing techniques
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret site layouts, and verify elevations
• Understanding of construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as required
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work without direct supervision
