Director of Marketing

RDP Foodservice is looking for a strategic, business-minded, creative, and results-driven Director of Marketing to help lead the next stage of our growth.

We're not looking for someone who simply manages a marketing calendar or creates campaigns. We're looking for a leader who understands the business behind marketing-someone who can connect marketing strategy to sales, profitability, customer growth, employee engagement, and overall company objectives.

What You'll Do

As Director of Marketing, you will own and drive RDP's overall marketing strategy while working closely with executive leadership and our Sales, Purchasing, and Human Resources teams.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Develop and execute marketing strategies that support profitable growth and RDP's broader business objectives.
• Partner closely with Sales to strengthen customer relationships, generate new business, and develop tools and programs that help our sales team compete.
• Lead RDP's brand, digital marketing, website, social media, email communications, promotions, and overall market presence.
• Work with Purchasing, manufacturers, and brokers to develop product promotions, launches, sampling programs, and other sales-driving initiatives.
• Lead the marketing strategy and promotion of RDP's Food Show, customer events, sales meetings, and other special events.
• Partner with Human Resources to strengthen employee engagement through effective internal communications, company messaging, and employee-focused initiatives.
• Identify creative and unconventional ways to differentiate RDP from larger competitors.
• Develop and manage RDP's annual marketing plan and budget.
• Establish meaningful marketing goals and measure the business impact of major initiatives.

You won't be expected to do it all alone. You'll have access to creative, digital, and marketing resources to help bring ideas and initiatives to life. Your role is to provide the vision, set priorities, leverage those resources effectively, and ensure our marketing efforts deliver results.

What We're Looking For

Business & Strategic Leadership

• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect marketing strategy to sales, profitability, customer needs, and overall company objectives.
• Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on and results-focused.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Merchandising, Purchasing, Human Resources, and executive leadership.

Marketing & Creative Leadership

• 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, including developing and executing marketing strategy.
• Strong creative instincts balanced with sound business judgment.
• Experience with brand development, digital marketing, sales support, promotions, product launches, customer events, and trade shows.
• Ability to develop and direct compelling marketing concepts, campaigns, content, and communications.

Technology & Digital Capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to leverage marketing technology, CRM, analytics, digital platforms, creative tools, and emerging AI technologies to drive marketing effectiveness and business results.
• Working knowledge of social media, email marketing, website/CMS platforms, digital advertising, and marketing analytics.
• Familiarity with creative platforms such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to effectively direct and evaluate creative work.

Communication & Collaboration

• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to translate business priorities into clear communications for customers, employees, and other audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
