Forklift Operator

Forklift Operator – Monday to Friday Summary Role focuses on movement of products throughout the warehouse using various types of Material Handling equipment. Role requires the skills and experience to operate/drive manual handling equipment in accordance with local legislation. These roles will mostly require an externally accredited qualification or licence. Required Certifications Must be forklift certified (valid or invalid). Safety sensitive role. Responsibilities Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other duties Ensure timeliness, packaging, and production accuracy Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc. Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast‑paced environment Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be forklift certified High school diploma or equivalent Previous warehouse experience preferred – 1 year Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material Experience using an RF scan gun required Previous forklift certifications preferred Must be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well Must have the ability to work well with others High attention to detail required Must have the ability to work with little supervision Must be able to lift 50+ lbs unassisted Must be able to speak, read, and write in English Physical Requirements This position requires standing and walking for extended periods. Employees must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts. Schedule 6am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Possible overtime. Weekends needed sometimes. Pay Range $21-$22 per hour. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
