Senior Product Manager - Technical, AWS Billing

Salary: $167,500 - 167,500 per year Requirements:

• We need at least 3 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager
• We need experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to gather requirements, define software product features, and articulate technical designs
• We need experience taking a product from conception and definition through engineering design and launch
• We need a bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, finance, or economics
• We prefer knowledge of engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations
• We prefer experience working in teams delivering software products and features using agile methods
• We prefer at least 3 years of experience developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling
• We prefer experience developing, deploying, and managing AI products at scale
• We prefer experience with billing, commerce, or catalog systems
• We prefer experience building or designing agentic products and interfaces

• We define the product framework, including schema, required attributes, quality rules, and lifecycle governance for every AWS product
• We define standard product models and relationship patterns for different service categories
• We extend the catalog with new product features, packages, and add-ons that service teams can adopt through configuration
• We architect agent-readable product metadata standards for AI consumption across internal and external experiences
• We drive adoption of product standards across new offerings and established catalog systems
• We conduct direct research with service teams and product data consumers to identify where definitions break down and turn those insights into improvements
• We partner with engineering teams across our billing, metering, and cost management organizations

We are rebuilding the AWS product catalog for an AI-native world, and this role owns how it is defined and how it grows. As Senior Product Manager - Technical External Services, we own the AWS product model end to end, including schema, governance rules, quality standards, lifecycle and relationship standards, and the new product structures that service teams build on top of them. Our work shapes how AWS services launch and scale their products across more than 200 AWS services and 30+ regions, supporting the foundational data layer behind AWS commerce, billing, cost management, and AI agents. The base salary range for this position is listed as USD 167,500 annually in New York, NY.
