Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the planning, preparation, and service of nutritious meals that support our residents’ health and recovery. You’ll lead a dedicated dietary team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive excellence in food service operations.
This is more than a kitchen job—it’s a leadership role at the intersection of nutrition and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage daily and weekly meal plans that meet residents’ nutritional needs and medical requirements
- Supervise dietary staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met in all food handling and kitchen operations
- Maintain accurate dietary records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff on individualized resident care plans
- Manage food and supply inventory, ordering, and budget control
- Conduct regular audits of food service operations and implement improvements
Qualifications:
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required
- Experience in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care facility preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of dietary regulations, nutrition principles, and food safety guidelines
- Ability to adapt menus to special diets including diabetic, cardiac, and dysphagia diets
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
