Job Description and Duties

This position is eligible to telework up to one day a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. Under the direction of the Supervisor II, in the DGS University, within the Office of Training and Administrative Standards (OTAS), the Analyst III has advanced-level analytical responsibility for contract administration and program support for department-wide training services. The incumbent will be responsible for contract administration and oversight; contract support maintenance; and assist with planning, development, and evaluation of training programs ensuring contract-supported activities align with strategic goals and mandated requirements. The Analyst III also serves as a Budget Coordinator, monitoring program expenditures, preparing budget projections, and ensuring fiscal activities align with established funding priorities and departmental guidelines. The incumbent must be proactive, act with a high-degree of independence, require minimal supervision, be able to manage projects from conception to completion, and conduct themselves in an effective and professional manner.

This position is Limited Term (12 months); it may become permanent, be extended up to 24 months, or be cancelled at any time.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.
