AbouttheRole

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team on a per diem basis across the Peninsula and South Bay. The ideal clinician is patient-centered, clinically strong, and focused on improving communication, cognitive function, and swallowing safety in the home environment.

As an AlphaCare SLP, you will evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for patients recovering from illness, injury, or neurological conditions. You will develop individualized treatment plans, provide targeted therapy, and ensure coordinated care alongside physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.

Qualifications

• MastersdegreeinSpeech - LanguagePathologyfromanaccreditedprogramrequired
• CurrentCaliforniaSLPlicenserequired
• CertificateofClinicalCompetence(CCC - SLP)preferred/requiredperassignmentstandards
• Newgraduatesarewelcometoapply

Responsibilities

• Providetherapyforcommunication,cognition,voice,anddysphagiamanagement
• Assessswallowingsafetyandrecommendstrategiestoreduceaspirationrisk
• Trainpatientsandcaregiversoncommunicationstrategiesandswallowingprecautions
• Monitor,document,andcommunicatepatientprogressandclinicalchanges
• Collaboratewithphysicians,nurses,andcareteammemberstocoordinatetreatment
• Participateincaseconferencesandcareplanningdiscussions
• Reassesspatientneedsandadjusttreatmentplansasappropriate
• Maintainaccurate,timely,andcompliantclinicaldocumentation
• Supportsafedischargeplanningandfunctionalindependencegoals
