Clerical/Cashiering Assistant - Hall Chrysler Virginia Beach

Job Description: Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Virginia Beach has a part‑time opening on our administrative team for a Clerical Assistant in the Service Department. Hours : 1PM–6PM Tuesday through Friday, and Saturday 7AM–3PM. Pay : $14–$15 per hour. Summary The Clerical Assistant works with the Service Manager and Service team to complete tasks as directed, ranging from cashiering, loaner vehicle assistance, time‑keeping and customer‑service assistance. This role requires strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a logical manner. Essential Duties Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner. Computes customer bills, receives cash, checks and credit‑card payments, records amounts, makes change and issues receipts. Provides cash refunds or credit memorandums for returned merchandise. Reconciles cash drawer daily. Reconciles gas‑purchase statements. Refers customers with questions about maintenance or repairs to the service writer or other appropriate individual. Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and refers dissatisfied customers to appropriate individuals for resolution. Maintains and files repair orders, parts invoices, rental forms. Assists service and parts departments with telephone coverage. Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to parts and service departments. Maintains a professional appearance. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior office or dealership experience preferred. Good telephone and organizational skills. Well organized, self‑motivated and a team player.
