VP Of Finance

The VP of Finance spends each day building the financial backbone of the company while serving as a trusted partner to the CEO and COO. They move seamlessly between tactical work and strategic decision‑making closing the books, refining accounting processes, and producing clear, data‑driven insights that guide growth. They meet regularly with the founders to review performance, shape financial strategy, and evaluate investment opportunities. With a lean team and outside support, they stay deeply hands‑on, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and visibility across the business. As they learn the company's operations, they lay the groundwork for a future capital raise and eventual sale.

General Responsibilities

• Own all accounting, finance, and analytics functions
• Build and maintain the financial foundation: systems, processes, controls, and reporting
• Manage month‑end close, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
• Develop forward‑looking models to support decision‑making, capital planning, and scenario analysis
• Partner closely with the CEO and COO on strategy, growth initiatives, and operational priorities
• Lead due diligence, data preparation, and modeling for a future fundraise
• Prepare the company for and lead through any M&A activities
• Oversee a small internal team and outside accounting/finance partners
• Ensure regulatory compliance, tax coordination, and effective risk management
• Create dashboards and analytics that provide visibility into performance and key drivers
• Additional responsibilities as needed
