Crisis Specialist

The Crisis Specialist interviews consumers, completes assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention. Outreaches as required. Answers a 24 hour hotline. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added at Director’s discretion.Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property.We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting. Our certified screeners and mental health professionals work together to stabilize the crisis and determine the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment option.Hours:Full Time; Available shifts include: Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday - Thursday 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. and Sunday - Thursday 7:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m.Rates & Benefits:This position pays a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked 3:00 p.m. - 11:p.m. Monday - Friday and a $2.00 shift differential for all hours worked on Saturday, Sunday and all 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. shifts.Base Pay Rate is 20.50 per hour plus one of the following, if applicable:Master's degree +$1.00 per hourMaster's degree and LAC or LSW +$3.00 per hourMaster's degree and LPC or LCSW +$.50 per hourTemporary Screener Certification +1.00 per hourFull Screener Certification +$2.00 per hour5 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree +1.50 per hour10 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree +3.00 per hour15 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree +4.50 per hourThis is a Full Time Benefited position with the following benefits:3.2 weeks of Paid Time Off during the first yearMedical insurance, vision, dental and life insurance benefits403(b) employee participation and employer match9 Agency-paid holidaysTraining opportunities provided throughout the yearTuition Reimbursement after 1 year of employmentRetention bonus offered biannually, $1,250 for full time staffEducation/Experience:Master’s Degree in a mental health field preferred.
