Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting 5th grade students as an ELA/Math resource special education teacher. In this role, you’ll work closely with learners who benefit from individualized instruction, collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and specialists to make a difference every day.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for the state
• Strong background working with students in special education, preferably at the elementary level
• Familiarity with resource room models and small group instruction
• Solid understanding of 5th grade ELA and Math curricula and accommodations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to build rapport with students and families, promoting a supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized ELA and Math instruction to 5th grade students, both one-on-one and in small groups
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs and goals
• Monitor and report on student progress, adapting instruction to ensure growth and achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to promote student success and inclusion
• Maintain organized records and compliance with all documentation requirements
• Foster a positive classroom climate that encourages engagement and confidence
