Step into a dynamic role focused on supporting students, educators, and families as an interim special education case manager. This contract position offers the opportunity to ensure key processes and compliance standards are met while improving educational outcomes. You'll make an immediate impact by coordinating initial evaluations for students referred for special education services, gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources—including assessments, teacher observations, and parent input.

As part of your responsibilities, you'll ensure evaluation reports align with IDEA, state, and district standards while assisting other case managers in maintaining due process documentation and meeting critical timelines. Review and offer feedback on outgoing documents to reflect IEP team decisions, and proactively verify records for new and existing students to ensure every file is complete and compliant. In addition to these core tasks, you'll help supervise daily student activities such as bus duty and meal supervision, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license in one or more special education areas such as Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Oral/Aural Education (see detailed requirements above)
• Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience
• Strong commitment to the Minnesota Teachers Code of Conduct
• Proficiency with computers, data entry, and office protocols
• Ability to collaborate and contribute to a diverse team
• Successful background check and drug screening required
• Authorized to work in the US

Preferred assets include three or more years of administrative experience, and familiarity working with diverse student populations in urban educational settings.
