Asset and Liability Management (ALM) Associate Director (IC) - Portfolio Management

Position Overview At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve. The Asset and Liability Management (ALM) Associate Director will be a key contributor to PNC’s Chief Investment Office, supporting the CIO and senior staff in managing over $200 billion in fixed‑income assets and derivative products, and executing initiatives related to interest rate risk, capital and liquidity regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities Support senior staff in regulatory, governance, and other initiatives within the CIO Office and propose recommended actions to senior management. Coordinate with portfolio managers, modelers, and other subject‑matter experts on assignments. Oversee new projects and analytics, including the creation, maintenance, and utilization of management reports to help the group meet its goals and directives. Make recommendations based on knowledge of markets, macroeconomics, banking and regulatory requirements, and assess the potential impact on PNC and the assigned business unit. Use independent judgment and discretion to perform transaction and portfolio‑level analysis, conduct research, and prepare reports. Perform due diligence and statistical analysis related to portfolio management. Utilize a working knowledge of financial instruments for the bank’s investment portfolio to contribute to investment decision‑making processes and development of investment/trading strategies. Develop, maintain, and utilize management reports and new projects that help the group meet its goals and directives and establish the organization’s risk position. Identify problems in analytics and develop solutions. Interact with internal and external service partners, including broker dealers and analytics providers, and leverage their knowledge. Develop, administer, and perform defined processes and procedures. Maintain knowledge of markets and macroeconomics and make associated recommendations. Assess the potential impact of these factors on ALM and the assigned business unit.
