Job Description We are seeking an Enterprise Account Manager to support strategic automotive and manufacturing accounts within the Detroit market. The role is responsible for driving growth across HPE’s portfolio, building executive customer relationships, and leading complex enterprise sales engagements across large strategic accounts. Articulate the connection between the customer’s core KPIs and HPE solutions; influence executive decision‑making to position HPE as a critical partner. Build and execute a plan to drive growth and profitability across HPE’s portfolio; position solutions to expand presence and margin. Engage with customers to identify opportunities; translate business challenges into IT opportunities; lead pipeline building and ensure ownership of deals. Develop and maintain professional relationships within the customer organization; build influential relationships with executives and key decision makers. Manage partner relationships; run governance processes with the partner network; collaborate on partner strategy for the account. Develop expertise in IT technology; articulate modern trends to executives; describe HPE’s portfolio and references from other customers. Build, develop and lead the extended account team; run governance with the team; provide recurring feedback to team members and managers. Provide feedback into other HPE organizations; coordinate with customer‑facing teams to improve the customer experience. Develop and execute a comprehensive account business plan; manage both strategic and tactical elements of the plan. Education & Experience University or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience. Engineering or technology education, advanced degree or MBA desired. 6+ years account management experience. Experience in the IT industry preferred; experience working within an IT department and/or customers is a plus. Experience in automotive/manufacturing enterprise accounts preferred. Experience in different sales roles is a plus. Located in Detroit, MI, or the Chicago, IL or Cleveland, OH area; up to 20% travel within the assigned territory. HPE portfolio knowledge; value propositions and competitive differentiators. Team leadership; lead dispersed, indirect teams through sales engagements. Network building; create strong professional relationships. Communication; listen actively and articulate value propositions. Influencing & negotiation; use techniques effectively. Business acumen; understand impact of decisions on company results. Operational excellence; show predictability internally and externally. Integrity; act with integrity under pressure. Vertical/industry knowledge; advise customer on digital journey. Consulting; synthesize skills to guide customer to outcomes. Impact / Scope Manage 1+ accounts representing moderate revenue; may include large multi‑national accounts. Qualify and close moderate‑complexity deals with cross‑BU scope. Work with decision‑makers at all levels of the customer organization. Orchestrate regional pursuit resources for the account. Participate in account investment decisions about pricing and resources.
