ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Accounting ManagerSalary: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00Location: Tallahassee, FL, US, 32301This is a professional supervisory position responsible for leading the Funds Management Section in the Division of General Accounting to carry out technical, analytical, and customer service functions of the section.Essential duties include managing and reporting cash and investment transactions and balances of the agency, ensuring daily cash activity and position analysis is accurately and timely performed, performing or reviewing all required bank and account reconciliations, preparing or reviewing requested reports and schedules, providing support for FLAIR, ensuring proper internal controls are in place, regularly reviewing and updating policies and procedures, leading the assigned team, and performing other duties as assigned.Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of financial and banking practices and procedures, ability to manage a staff, ability to provide motivation and decisive leadership, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, ability to adapt to and learn new systems, ability to utilize effective problem-solving techniques and make decisions, ability to delegate assignments, ability to compile and analyze data for administrative decisions, ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments, ability to successfully handle changing priorities and multiple demands, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to compose and/or verbalize effective business communication, and ability to interpret procedures and technical manuals.High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Successful passing of a criminal background check (state, local, and national) is required. Maintains strict confidentiality of information learned while working with the Florida Lottery.
