Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our modern and well-equipped Rehabilitation Center located in Northern Virginia. This facility provides a variety of therapy services, creating a dynamic atmosphere where Physical Therapists collaborate closely with occupational and speech therapists as well as nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans by assessing patient needs, establishing functional goals, and adapting methodologies to fit individual circumstances.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and behaviors that promote recovery as well as ongoing wellness.
• Conduct in-services and educational sessions at the facility to raise awareness about the key services and benefits of physical therapy.
• Actively participate in Care Plan Meetings, offering insights into patient progress and collaborating on modifications to treatment as necessary.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment sessions, and progress updates, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Work collaboratively with supervising Physical Therapists to ensure quality care, uphold best practices, and ensure continuity of treatment across disciplines.
• Engage actively with interdisciplinary teams to address holistic patient needs and improve care outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adult patients recovering from fractures, surgical procedures, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will guide them through pain management, mobility enhancements, and restorative exercises aimed at improving their functional independence and overall health.

Qualifications

• An active Physical Therapy license in good standing from the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.
• Proficient in federal, state, and governing agency regulations pertaining to physical therapy practices.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and team members.
• Motivated attitude and a commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
• Creative problem-solving skills that enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for travel as needed within the facility.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is highly desirable but not a strict requirement.
• Experience in geriatric therapy or rehabilitation of orthopedic patients will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practice methodologies in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
