Sr. Tier II Network Technician

Overview The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a TierII Network Technician to support various WAN and LAN networks. The role provides incident resolution, routing changes, firewall changes, and serves as a subject‑matter expert in WAN and LAN technologies, supporting intra‑ and inter‑net and other data communications systems. Responsibilities Support installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices. Respond to and resolve incident tickets, draft and implement standard network change requests. Provide support to TierIII network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, Technical Exchange Meetings, and installation of new equipment). Perform configuration‑management functions such as updating topology drawings, maintaining accurate asset records, and conducting inventory. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. Configure and troubleshoot Layer2 switching (VLANs, Port Security, Thin Configurations). Perform COMSEC custodian duties and maintain accountability and inventory control of COMSEC equipment and keying material. Support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of encryption devices such as TACLANEs and other secure communication equipment. Support network security operations, ensuring COMSEC integration aligns with overall cybersecurity requirements. Qualifications TS‑SCI with Poly clearance. Minimum of 16 years of experience (combined work history and education) meeting the DoD 8570 Level2 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) requirement. Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals, Layer2 switching concepts, and layer1 and layer2 network media (CAT5, SM/MM fiber, serial cables, SFP). Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI models. Experience with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS. Familiarity with Layer3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE). Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, ServiceNow, Atlassian Confluence, and other ITSM products. Knowledge of Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes. Up to 25% travel. Travel Requirement Up to 25% travel may be required. Pay Range $92,300.00–$166,850.00 (general guideline only; actual compensation may vary).
