RJ Inc. is looking for an experienced, highly organized Commercial Flooring Construction Administrator/Senior Estimator to join our team.

This is not an entry-level or starter Construction Administrator/Senior Estimator position. Commercial flooring experience is highly recommended, and we are specifically looking for someone who understands the pace, details, coordination, and responsibility that comes with managing commercial flooring projects. We need someone who can step into this role with confidence, take ownership of their projects, and become a dependable part of our team.

Reliability is extremely important to us. We need someone who shows up to the office every day ready to work , stays engaged with their projects, communicates with the team, and can be counted on to handle their responsibilities.

Commercial construction moves quickly, and our Construction Administrator/Senior Estimators are responsible for keeping a lot of moving pieces organized at once. You must be comfortable prioritizing, problem-solving, communicating with different personalities, and staying ahead of issues rather than waiting for someone else to address them.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial flooring projects from award through completion and closeout
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and project requirements
• Coordinate with general contractors, customers, vendors, and the RJ team
• Order, track, and coordinate flooring materials and deliveries
• Maintain accurate and detailed project information
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, labor, material costs, and overall job performance
• Identify potential problems early and work proactively to resolve them
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and internal team members
• Manage change orders, project documentation, punch lists, and closeout requirements
• Take ownership of assigned projects and follow through until the job is complete

Who Will Succeed in This Role

We're looking for someone who:

• Has commercial flooring experience or significant relevant commercial construction experience
• Has previous Construction Administration/Estimation experience and understands that this is not a training-level position
• Is highly detail-oriented and takes pride in keeping accurate information
• Is dependable and maintains consistent attendance
• Can manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities at the same time
• Communicates early and often instead of allowing issues to build
• Works well as part of a team and understands that successful projects require collaboration
• Takes accountability for their work and follows through on commitments
• Is comfortable asking questions when necessary but can also work independently and make decisions
• Can build professional relationships with general contractors, installers, vendors, customers, and coworkers
• Wants to grow with a company and take on greater responsibility over time

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will start between $35-40 per hour , depending on experience and skill level.
