Overview Description Role Mission: Through the work of the Testing Coordinator, teachers and leaders can feel confident in the data-driven decisions they are making. These decisions help IDEA Public Schools achieve the goal of our mission of supporting 100% of scholars as they proceed to and through college. Testing Coordinators support this work by ensuring that 100% of students take all appropriate tests in an environment conducive to standardized testing. TCs also work with campus partners to ensure that students take all eligible tests with approved accommodations. When this work is executed successfully, the leadership team can focus on both the social-emotional support of students as well as family engagement. The Testing Coordinator ensures testing environments and accommodations support compliant testing practices. What We Offer Compensation Compensation for this role is set at an hourly rate ranging between $21.56 for 0 years of experience and $26.95. What You Bring — Competencies Qualifications Education: High School Diploma; 48+ college credit hours preferred Experience: Educational experience preferred; testing experience valued; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred Knowledge And Skills Superior organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work with minimal supervision Clear verbal and written communication Problem-solving in real-time Leadership through influence to meet timelines and goals Open to feedback to improve work What You’ll Do — Accountabilities Ensure 100% of students have high-quality testing environments for district, state, and national tests Attend 100% of scheduled trainings with the national Assessment Team Own learning by participating in the TC TEAMS group, reviewing training materials, and reading the weekly Testing Coordinator Newsletter Create and communicate the campus testing plan for all assessments to management, lead team, teachers, and staff Communicate testing schedules and updates to students’ parents/families Coordinate with campus IT to ensure computers used for online testing are updated and ready prior to test day Ensure campus staff and students have access to the appropriate online testing system Prepare testing bins 72 hours in advance of testing dates Review testing bin contents with test administrator 2 days prior to testing Audit accommodations and supplemental materials with SPED/ELL/504/RTI partners prior to testing Manage state assessment materials per district guidelines and check them in/out with the National Assessment Team Audit paper state test booklets and answer documents with a trained lead team member Ensure on-time execution of all deliverables requested by the National Assessment Team (e.g., data reporting, student counts, computer needs) May be appointed as ACT Test Coordinator, preACT Coordinator, and/or AP Coordinator Lead campus testing trainings to teach policies and procedures Schedule meetings with special populations coordinators to ensure accommodations are entered/updated on time Schedule proctor meetings to ensure proper implementation of accommodations Oversee testing sessions to maintain compliance with policies and procedures Provide feedback after each testing session to improve the testing experience Set up and monitor online testing systems to ensure 100% of students are tested appropriately with approved accommodations Collaborate with campus IT to prepare equipment 48 hours before tests Lead investigations of irregularities and report incidents to the National Assessment Team by close of business on the day of occurrence 98% completion rates of all assessments by deadlines stated on the assessment calendar Ensure teachers and leaders have access to all assessment systems Update Edcite Distribution Groups to ensure teachers have access to district exams Serve as the primary campus point person for testing systems and train/support campus users Monitor scanning of assessments to meet 95% of multiple-choice components scanned within 24 hours Track and monitor testing to ensure 100% of eligible students complete all applicable assessments Values and Culture: We embody values including commitment to our mission, accountability, action, urgency, adaptability, openness to feedback, cross-department collaboration, and professional conduct.
