Process payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees with a high degree of accuracy

Review, reconcile, and maintain payroll records and employee data

Enter and audit benefits deductions, tax withholdings, garnishments, and reimbursements

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payroll regulations

Process employee expense reimbursements

Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies

Support payroll reporting and audits

Provide responsive customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries

Work closely with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations

Required:

• 3+ years of payroll experience
• Experience processing payroll for medium to large employee populations
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and payroll best practices
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or similar platforms
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in a union or nonprofit environment
• Knowledge of garnishments, deductions, and benefits administration
• Payroll reconciliation experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

You'll be part of a close-knit payroll team in a professional, collaborative office environment. Training will be conducted onsite, after which you'll transition to a hybrid schedule. The team values accountability, teamwork, accuracy, and delivering an exceptional employee experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

The pay range for this position is $33.39 - $33.39/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
