Clinical Faculty, Pediatric Cardiology, Department of Pediatrics

Description The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology and University of Virginia Children's Hospital seeks a full‑time, open‑track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor with expertise in non‑invasive imaging (transthoracic, transesophageal, and preferably fetal echocardiography). Qualified candidates may also be considered for the position of Echocardiography Laboratory Director. Applicants must hold an MD or DO and be board‑eligible or board‑certified in pediatric cardiology. Clinical expertise in transthoracic and transesophageal imaging is required; fetal echocardiography experience is beneficial but not mandatory. An active research program is desirable. Salary and rank will depend on qualifications. Clinical duties will focus on imaging, but the candidate will also participate in the inpatient general pediatric cardiology service and one half‑day of outpatient clinic per week. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the candidate will be expected to teach medical students, pediatric residents, and pediatric cardiology fellows, along with other academic pursuits.
