Event Sales Lead: Home Shows & Fair

$350 to $450 per day plus uncapped performance bonuses

We build walk-in showers. At home shows and fairs, we do not run a normal contractor booth. People stop for coffee. Some of them turn out to have a bathroom they have hated for fifteen years.

We are looking for the person who can smile, work the room and turn the right conversations into qualified appointments.

This is more than a sales role. It's an opportunity to grow with us. You need to know how to read a crowd, create energy, approach people naturally and keep multiple conversations moving without becoming pushy or scripted.

You cannot wait behind a table for people to come to you.

You welcome people, recognize who is open to a conversation and ask intelligent questions. You know when to stay with someone, when to bring another person into the conversation and when to move on. When there is a real bathroom project, you schedule an in-home appointment with our team.

What You Will Own

• Own the floor and create an inviting, high-energy booth
• Read the crowd and recognize who may be open to a conversation
• Engage people as they pass and draw them into the booth naturally
• At fairs and festivals, work the crowd directly instead of waiting at the display
• Keep several conversations moving without losing track of the strongest opportunities
• Ask what is wrong with the bathroom, who uses it and how soon they want to change it
• Demonstrate our shower systems, samples and walk-through digital visualizer
• Set qualified in-home appointments
• Keep lead and appointment information accurate
• Help set up and tear down the booth
• Help coach additional demonstrators as the event team grows

Your job is working with the owner and growing team to make the shows produce.

Where This Can Go

We are building an event marketing department from the ground up, and we want to build it around the person who proves they can produce.

As the calendar grows, this role can expand into:

• Booking shows and managing the event calendar
• Recruiting and coaching demonstrators
• Leading the event team
• Tracking appointments, sales and event profitability
• Building a repeatable system that produces profitable appointments and sales
• Owning the entire event marketing channel

We would rather grow the right person into the department leader than hire over them later.

The initial fall season is a proving ground, not a guaranteed six-figure job. Compensation is uncapped and designed to scale.

Someone who can work a room, consistently produce appointments, drive sales and build a successful team can grow this into a six-figure role.

Compensation

$350 per standard show day
$450 per extended fair or festival day
$200 per half day for senior and resource fairs lasting up to five hours
$250 per dedicated setup or teardown day
$15 per qualified appointment
$10 to $85 when the appointment is completed
$200 when an appointment becomes a sale
$100 for completing a multi-day show
Approved mileage reimbursed at the federal rate

Performance pay is uncapped. A strong three-day show can pay approximately $2,800

You will be measured on qualified appointments, appointments that actually happen, resulting sales, lead accuracy, reliability and event execution. Not brochures handed out or names collected.

You Are Probably Not Right for This Role If

• You want an office event planning position
• You are friendly once someone approaches you, but rarely initiate conversations yourself
• You are uncomfortable approaching people who are walking past
• You struggle to manage more than one conversation at a time
• You are uncomfortable asking for an appointment
• You dislike performance-based compensation
• Weekend commitments tend to slip
• You cannot free up an occasional weekday morning

Schedule and Structure

Our events come in three shapes:

Home and remodeling shows run Friday through Sunday, with long days and sometimes a separate setup or teardown day
Senior and community resource fairs take place on a single weekday, usually Wednesday or Thursday, and typically last four to six hours
Festivals and street fairs are typically held on Saturday, and sometimes Saturday and Sunday

Most of the work is on weekends, but weekday fairs are some of our best events. You need to be available for a few daytime midweek dates. This schedule can work particularly well for someone who works evenings.

The role begins with four events during September and October and expands as the calendar grows.

This is a part-time, seasonal W-2 position with a **60-day introductory period**. Future event assignments and expanded responsibilities are based on performance, reliability, availability and business needs.

Paid sick leave is provided in accordance with Washington law.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to travel throughout the Greater Seattle and Puget Sound area
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Background and driving record check

Candidates who advance will complete a paid, hands-on booth audition involving realistic homeowner scenarios.

The audition will test how you enter a room, engage strangers, manage several visitors at once and move a natural conversation toward a qualified appointment.

We are not looking for someone who simply coordinates events.

We are looking for someone who can work a room, create trust, produce appointments and eventually build a department.
