Customer Service / Sales Representative

Position Overview

The Customer Service / Sales Representative (CSR/Sales) is responsible for monitoring customer satisfaction and ensuring prompt action and resolution of customer issues. This includes responding to requests for quotes, processing orders, providing follow-up and status updates, and communicating with customers through telephone, email, fax, and customer internet portals.

The CSR/Sales Representative also supports sales activities, maintains strong customer relationships, and facilitates communication between customers and internal departments to ensure customer expectations are consistently met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure prompt action and resolution of customer issues.
• Take requests for quotes, process customer orders, and provide follow-up and status updates.
• Communicate with customers via telephone, email, fax, and customer internet portals.
• Provide in-service support for escalated customer issues and work with other departments to develop solutions.
• Thoroughly investigate customer issues and maintain comprehensive information related to customer concerns.
• Work toward and support the achievement of individual and company monthly booking/sales goals.
• Make "cold" and "warm" calls to existing and potential customers to promote company products and services.
• Log a minimum number of daily customer and sales calls as required.
• Facilitate communication between customers and appropriate internal departments, including Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality.
• Communicate regularly with customers to ensure the company is meeting their expectations.
• Encourage, facilitate, and reinforce strong relationships between customers and company management.
• Follow all company procedures, policies, and applicable workplace requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum of 1 years of previous Customer Service Representative experience
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and directions.
• Strong computer skills and comfort working with current information and data-processing technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications .
