Mechanical Designer

Permanent, On Site | Bridgewater, NJ

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card) is Required .

Design large industrial equipment for power generation, petrochemical, and heavy industrial projects. Work on ducting, piping, structural steel, and pressure vessels from concept through fabrication.

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field

•  U S Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card) is Required.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in heavy industrial, power generation, petrochemical, or process equipment
• Strong AutoCAD and 3D CAD experience including Inventor, MicroStation, or similar
• Experience designing ducting, piping, structural steel, and pressure vessels
• Knowledge of OSHA, AISC, ASME Section VIII, B31.1, and B31.3
• Familiarity with welding and fabrication practices
• Able to interpret engineering specifications and produce fabrication drawings
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D and 3D fabrication and assembly drawings
• Design ducting, piping layouts, isometrics, supports, and structural components
• Prepare bills of material and drawing packages
• Review fabrication and erection drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, fabricators, vendors, and clients
• Incorporate customer and internal revisions into final designs
• Improve manufacturability and fabrication efficiency through practical design solutions
• Travel up to 10% for vendor visits, field support, and inspections
