Overview: As a Host/Receptionist at 404 Celsius, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your role is to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and ensure smooth operations at the front of the house. This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences. Key Responsibilities: Guest Greeting: Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Escort guests to their assigned tables, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they enter. Reservation Management: Manage reservations using the restaurant’s booking system, ensuring accurate tracking of guest bookings and preferences. Handle walk-in guests and coordinate seating based on availability, wait times, and guest preferences. Communication: Effectively communicate with guests regarding wait times, menu specials, and any pertinent information about the restaurant. Relay guest requests and feedback to the management and service staff to ensure a high level of satisfaction. Table Management: Monitor dining room flow and table turnover, coordinating with servers to optimize seating and service efficiency. Keep an organized waitlist and inform guests of their table status as needed. Guest Experience: Anticipate guest needs, providing assistance with seating preferences, special accommodations, and any additional requests. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a swift resolution to any issues that arise. Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with the kitchen and service team to maintain effective communication regarding guest needs and special requests. Participate in team meetings to discuss service standards, menu changes, and operational improvements. Administrative Tasks: Perform light administrative duties, such as answering phone calls, managing the front desk area, and handling cash transactions when necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting areas. Professional Appearance: Maintain a polished and professional appearance in accordance with the restaurant’s dress code. Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to enhance the guest experience. Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in reservation management and guest interactions. Adaptability: Be flexible to handle a variety of guest situations and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in a host, reception, or customer service role is preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for this role. Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail in managing reservations and guest interactions.
