Medical Assistant - Emerson Cardiovascular Associates Schedule: Full Time Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 / Hourly Shift: Day shift Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm About this role Make a Difference in Heart Care Join our cardiology team as a Medical Assistant, where you'll play a critical role in supporting physicians and delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you'll work directly with cardiologists to prepare patients for visits, perform key clinical tasks, and help ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in a fast-paced specialty practice. Reporting to the Office Manager and working under the direct supervision of Cardiologist(s), you'll be an essential part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered cardiovascular care. What You'll Do Prepare patients for cardiology visits, including intake, vital signs, and documentation Perform EKGs and assist with cardiac-related clinical procedures Support physicians during patient exams and treatments Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) Coordinate patient flow to maintain an efficient clinic environment Provide excellent customer service to patients in person and over the phone Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical workspace Ensure compliance with confidentiality, safety, and regulatory standards What You Bring Required Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Completion of a Medical Assistant program strongly preferred Preferred Experience 2-4 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, ideally in a cardiology or specialty practice preferred Licensure & Certification Medical Assistant certification in Massachusetts preferred but not required Key Skills & Strengths EKG experience required Ability to accurately take and record vital signs Strong patient care and customer service skills Experience with EMR/EHR systems; Meditech and GE Centricity preferred Excellent communication skills (in person and by phone) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Why Join Us?
