Clinical Program Assistant - Genetic Center - St Joseph Medical Center - Burbank

Under general direction of the manager or supervisor the clinical program assistant at the cancer center supports the front and back office needs of the department/program. The assistant performs receptionist, secretarial and programmatic duties for the department/program. Activities may include developing and maintaining spreadsheets, graphs and program related statistics, coordinating meeting appointments for the department/program assigned. There may be patient activities that include, answering, screening and directing phone calls, greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, tests and other miscellaneous items, and rooming patients. • Bachelor’s Degree in Biological or Social Sciences or
• Coursework/Training: Genetics Assistant Certification.
• Genetic Assistant Certification (if no Bachelor's Degree) upon request.

Preferred qualifications:

• Basic Life Support upon hire
• 2 years of experience in a health-related field.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
