Key Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out
• Collect insurance information, co-pays, and balances
• Answer high-volume calls regarding scheduling, refills, and patient inquiries
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments
• Verify insurance eligibility prior to appointments
• Manage patient portal requests and front-office administrative tasks
• Complete assigned tasks within established turnaround times

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of medical receptionist, front desk, or patient registration experience
• Experience using an EMR system (Epic preferred)
• Phone scheduling experience
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility

Work Environment

• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• High-volume practice averaging 100 patients per day
• Fast-paced setting requiring multitasking and attention to detail

This is a Contract position based out of Portsmouth, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
