Job Summary: Performs routine and special diagnostic procedures requiring technical skill, judgment, and independent decision-making following established standards, policies, and procedures. Performs phlebotomy and accessioning duties as needed. Assists the Laboratory Supervisor in the technical and administrative functions of the laboratory. Maintains strict confidentiality of work-related information and works well with patients, the public, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications:

• ASCP, NCA, or AMT registered as a MT/MLS/MLT
• B.S. in Medical Technology or Bachelor's degree with prerequisite coursework and clinical training
• Capable of operating laboratory instrumentation
• Performing patient phlebotomy
• Demonstrates superior work knowledge and ability to organize
• Maintains strict confidentiality of work-related information
• Proficient in using office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, and computer terminals
