Patient Financial Counselor

Description The Financial Coordinator Lead oversees the daily work of the Financial Coordinators while also performing the duties of a Financial Coordinator. The duties of a Financial Coordinator include providing financial insurance and payment information to assist them in planning and managing their account balances related to specific services performed in the clinic and educating patients on the various sponsorship programs available to them. The Financial Coordinator is the liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Required qualifications: 3 years Experience in a Business Office, preferably in a financial/billing position. 1 year Experience as a financial counselor with a proven success rate, preferably with Providence Health and Services Experience with medical and health plan terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
