Maintenance MechanicBoulder Community Health is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support hospital facility operations and ensure the safe, efficient performance of building systems and equipment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, and requires the ability to independently diagnose issues, prioritize work, and respond effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The role involves performing a variety of tasks, including repairs to plumbing, electrical systems, and hospital equipment, as well as installing minor fixtures and adjusting doors. The Maintenance Mechanic will also be responsible for preventative maintenance, keeping detailed records of work performed, and handling urgent and routine repairs to maintain a safe and efficient environment.Benefits include health insurance, dental and vision insurance, BCH paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, a retirement plan with BCH matching contributions, paid time off, an education assistance program, voluntary wellness programs, staff support initiatives, and free one-on-one retirement planning sessions.Qualifications include trade/technical or vocational training, a valid Colorado driver's license, three years of previous maintenance experience, and experience in a healthcare environment.Responsibilities include repairing leaking faucets and drains, repairing diaphragm and float type toilets, installing minor equipment, performing minor repairs to hospital beds, adjusting door closures, changing filters in air handling units, performing preventive maintenance, keeping records and logs of work performed, performing minor electrical repairs, performing urgent corrective, routing and requisitioned minor repairs, and maintaining appropriate records to insure compliance with state, federal and Joint Commission regulations.Boulder Community Health is a not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Boulder, Colorado, serving the Boulder County community.
