An Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) DefMet Shift Group Leader (GL) works a compressed schedule and reports directly to department managers. The GL will be responsible for the performance, development, and employee relations of technicians working on shifts. The group leader will be responsible for creating and executing a roadmap to meet goals against area/shift metrics in safety, quality, availability, velocity, affordability, and training. The candidate may also be responsible for other activities including IMT and Production leadership. The DefMet SGL is responsible for communicating quality messages to the factory on a daily basis. They own EDI performance and must work directly with the module SGL teams to collaborate and find manufacturable quality solutions. Candidate will also be a role model for the culture and set the standard for expectations to living the culture. The candidate will show leadership qualities with a proven track record of delivering results, through people, for a project or sustained effort.

As a manager you will:

• Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
• Responsible for supervising the activities of product teams or staff in a manufacturing area.
• Assesses personnel and material levels to determine production schedules.
• Assigns personnel and monitors the flow of work in process through the manufacturing facility.
• Establish operating policies and procedures, coordination of multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, establishing strategic plans to ensure production schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.
• Responsible for overall safety of personnel, company assets, and the surrounding environment.
• Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

This position will operate on a Compressed Work Week schedule where the shift tends to be 12-hours from about 6pm to 6am. Shift 6 - Nighttime, back half of week - PM-AM Wed-Fri and alternating Saturday night.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in the below skillsets:
  • semiconductor fabrication industry
  • Process engineering or Yield experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• A demonstrated aptitude to interact with vendor field service engineering support - and manufacturing technicians on toolsets.
• Previous people management and/or leadership experience
• Technical expertise within Semiconductor Process engineering and be able to provide technical direction on quality issues.
• Data analysis skills and have a good understanding of basic statistics.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $89,010.00-170,630.00 USDThe range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
