About the Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of professional cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or lead cook role.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution.
• Experience with menu planning and inventory management software.
• Strong background in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Certification in ServSafe or equivalent food safety training.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities to ensure timely and high-quality food preparation.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to maintain consistent culinary standards and efficient workflow.
• Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimize kitchen operations.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist in resolving any kitchen-related issues, including equipment malfunctions and staffing challenges.
• Maintain clear communication with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
