Behavioral Health Technician

Department: Psychiatric ICU 1 (AHSH CBH) Schedule: 5×8s, no set days, every other weekend Contract Length: 13 weeks Requirements: LVN or LPT license, BLS, CPI (preferred; can be obtained onsite), 1 year psych experience Notes: Cannot accept Mental Health Techs Position Summary The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct and indirect psychiatric patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role supports patients across age groups in a 61‑bed psychiatric facility, assisting with therapeutic interventions, safety monitoring, and daily care needs. Key Responsibilities Utilize de‑escalation and least‑restrictive interventions Assist with admissions, discharges, and intake interviews Monitor and document patient behavior, symptoms, vital signs, and safety concerns Support therapeutic and recreational activities Communicate patient status changes to nursing staff Administer medications per physician orders and obtain consent forms Conduct routine rounding and maintain a safe environment Reinforce patient and family education plans Qualifications High school diploma/GED required LVN/LPN or LPT license required CPI/TEAM certification required (or obtained onsite) BLS required 1+ year psychiatric experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr TEEMA Solutions Group
