District Speech And Language Specialist

Under general direction of the Director of Student Support Services, or designee, the candidate will serves as a District Speech and Language specialist providing specialized speech and language services including therapy, evaluation and assistance to individuals or groups of students eligible for services. In addition, will consult with staff and parents regarding speech therapy and instruction strategies.

Requirements / Qualifications

MATERIALS: - Speech Language Pathology Services Credential required, Autism or DHH Experience preferred. Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply. - Up to a maximum of 10 years credit for each previous experience working as a full time Speech Therapist (Verification required) -If your credential is pending please attach CTC application/receipt or a letter from your University on letterhead stating your graduation date and type of credential you will be recommended for. - Additional or unnecessary attachments may lead to disqualification from the eligibility pool. No applications via email, fax or in-person will be accepted. A signing bonus of $5,000 shall be provided to all newly hired speech pathologists completing three full years (75% or more of the total service days) of paid certificated service (prorated). $2,500 shall be paid upon the completion of the first full year (75% or more of the total service days) of paid certificated service (prorated). The remaining $2,500 shall be paid upon the completion of the third full year (75% or more of the total service days) of paid certificated service (prorated).

Applicants must submit the following: 1) A letter of introduction stating reasons for interest in the position, qualifications that match the professional preparation. 2) A resume providing biographical background information about candidate's experience, achievements, and educational preparation. 3) Copy of Speech Language Pathology Services Credential. If your credential is pending please attach CTC application/receipt or a letter from your University on letterhead stating your graduation date and type of credential you will be recommended for. 4) A total of three (3) CURRENT and signed letters of recommendation on letterhead. Please DO NOT attach any other documentation such as transcripts, testing scores, first aid/CPR cards, photos; and no more than 3 letters of recommendation.
