Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech services within a school setting. This role is based in Laurel, MD, offering the chance to deliver remote speech therapy sessions to students requiring support with communication skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting virtual assessments and evaluations to determine students’ speech and language needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals.
- Providing direct telespeech therapy sessions using approved telepractice platforms.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
- Maintaining detailed documentation and progress reports compliant with educational standards.
Qualifications and experience sought:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Proven experience delivering speech-language services through telepractice.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively in a virtual environment.
- Familiarity with school-based protocols and confidentiality regulations.
