Work Environment

This is an onsite position located within a hospital facility that promotes a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments by taking initial patient histories, performing thorough physical examinations, and identifying patient health needs.
• Develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices, while documenting all findings and plans as required.
• Perform daily patient rounds to monitor progress, address concerns, and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, ensuring adherence to safe and effective treatment protocols.
• Interpret test results and collaborate with healthcare team members to provide optimal care based on patient data.
• Engage in effective communication with patients, providing clear instructions and answering any questions regarding their care, follow-up appointments, medications, and health management strategies.
• Prepare and maintain accurate discharge summaries, ensuring comprehensive continuity of care for patients post-hospitalization.
• Participate in hospital committees or meetings to further improve practices, protocols, and patient care standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Women's Health Nurse Practitioner will serve a diverse patient population, including adolescents, pregnant women, and aging females in Camden and surrounding areas. You will address a range of women's health issues, from routine gynecological exams and prenatal care to managing complex conditions such as reproductive health disorders. Your holistic approach will empower patients to engage in their health decisions and promote well-being throughout their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nursing, specializing in Nurse Practitioner training, is required.
• National Board Certification in your specialty area is essential.
• A current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse in New Jersey is mandatory.
• Must have a collaborative practice agreement or an attestation as per governing state laws.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a similar clinical role focusing on women’s health is highly desirable.
• Experience in a hospital or specialty care unit setting involving complex patient cases will be considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to foster relationships with patients and colleagues alike.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
