Human Resources Coordinator

Tropical Shipping in West Palm Beach, Florida is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator! The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, accountability, a solid work ethic, commitment to excellence, ability to multi-task and a strong background in recruiting. This role is responsible for handling all administrative functions of the Human Resources team including, but not limited to: preparing and compiling information to coordinate Human Resources programs, such as: recognition, company loans, employee shipments, applicant tracking, etc. Responds to personnel inquiries and requests from internal and external customers. Provides administrative support to the Human Resources staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responds to verification of employment requests and claims for unemployment. Supports corporate business initiatives and the corporate shared values in the daily delivery of Human Resources services. Prepares and distributes reports and statistical summaries on employee data. Maintains system documentation and employment files, and ensures integrity of data Maintains office supply inventory for the Human Resources and HSE team Administrative support for onboarding team members Greets company visitors and provides direction assistance as needed. Provides information and forms to persons applying for positions and updates applicant information in HRIS for applicant tracking. Provides employment department with daily update on application intake. Organizes and communicates information for any HR workshops, trainings, or company events. Coordinates schedules of attendees, sets up location, time, place, food, beverage, etc. Performs word-processing duties including typing of reports, correspondence, info-lines and other database documents. Proofreads all prepared documents for spelling and typographical errors. Creates reports, graphs, and charts for various projects using spreadsheet and graphics software. Supports the HR management team with any and all administrative needs Assists in the coordination of employee activities. Performs all other duties as assigned Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Requirements: Minimum 1-3 years in general office or clerical. Preferably in a Human Resources department. Physical Requirements: Office environment- ability to sit for long periods of time and use a computer. Lifting, pushing, or pushing at least 25 lbs.
