Pharmacy Fill Technician - 1st Shift

Job Location: Polaris Pharmacy Services of Ohio - Columbus, OH 43204. Position Type: Full Time. Travel Percentage: None. Job Shift: Day. Job Category: Pharmaceutical. Job Summary The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations. Duties/Responsibilities Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks) Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times Package materials and products manually Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of brand name/generic medications Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Able to work at a moderate speed Able to work during inclement weather Reliable Detail-focused with analytical problem‑solving skills Able to physically perform light lifting Must be able to work various shifts and day Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent required Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long‑term care experience preferred) Physical Demands May sit or stand seven to ten hours per day The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk May be necessary to work extended hours as needed May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds Holiday & PTO Policy Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) (available for Part Time & Full Time EEs) Company Paid Life insurance Short-term and Long-term disability insurance Tuition reimbursement Personal Time Off (PTO) Competitive pay with annual performance reviews and merit-based raises Career growth potential Annual on-site voluntary Flu Vaccines Employee referral bonus program #J-18808-Ljbffr Polaris Pharmacy Services
