Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will be experienced in high-risk obstetrics and capable of handling a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessments and care for patients in Labor and Delivery.
• Manage care for high-risk obstetric patients, including monitoring and interventions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including hospitalists and intensivists.
• Perform nursing duties and support the delivery process including C-sections.
• Conduct thorough assessments and documentation in both Meditech and GE systems.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour day shift position with every third weekend requirement. Schedule involves rotating weekend shifts and may include floating to other units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (AHA).
• Experience in Labor and Delivery or high-risk obstetrics is necessary.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
